Hello Families,
Welcome back to a new and exciting school year! We hope you all had a wonderful summer and are as eager as we are to embark on this journey together.
Our first week has been nothing short of fantastic! It’s been a joy to see our students settling in, reconnecting with friends, and starting to dive into their learning. We truly appreciate your support and involvement, which have been instrumental in creating such a positive start.
As we move forward, we want to remind everyone of the vital role collaboration plays in our students’ success. By working together—schools, families, and communities—we can ensure that each child has the best possible environment for success! Your engagement and feedback are invaluable in helping us support and guide our students effectively.
Here are a few ways you can continue to contribute to a successful school year:
Stay Informed: Regularly check school communications for updates and important information.
Be Involved: Attend school events, parent-teacher meetings, and volunteer opportunities.
Encourage Communication: Keep the lines of dialogue open with teachers and school staff.
We’re excited about the many opportunities ahead and look forward to collaborating with you to make this a memorable and successful year for all our students. Thank you for your continued support and partnership.

Dear Families,
Get ready—the Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our school! This is a great opportunity to connectwith your child over the thrill of bringing home new books to dive into again and again. Studies show that kids read more when they choose books for themselves. And fostering a love of independent reading leads to a wide variety of benefits—including academic success and improved mental health.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Book Fair:
Dates: September 4th - September 13th. Book Fair will be open on Back to School Night, Thursday, September 5th.
Location: ESTLA Data Room, Main Hallway,
Family Event schedule and location: Thursday, September 5th, 5:00pm - 7:00pm
There’s even more info on our school’s Book Fair homepage: https://www.scholastic.com/bf/eisenhowernasd
While you’re there, set up a Book Fair eWallet, the digital payment account that allows your child to shop for books at the Fair without cash. Then share your eWallet link so friends and extended family can add funds. When you fund an eWallet, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a giving initiative called Share the FairTM. Your contributions directly support our students who need help buying books from the Fair.
Many of us still remember the rush of finding the perfect book at a Scholastic Book Fair. I hope you’ll join your child at our school’s Fair and share a reading experience they’ll remember forever.
Happy reading,
Dr. Taylor, Principal
PS: Need one more reason to visit the Book Fair? Every purchase at the Fair benefits our school!
