Principal's Message

Dear Norristown Families The Countdown has Begun,

Spring is here, bringing new opportunities for growth, learning, and community engagement. As we enter the final stretch of the school year, we encourage students to stay focused while enjoying the many exciting events this month.

In April, we celebrate our students' and staff's hard work—from academic achievements to athletic competitions and creative performances. With standardized testing, spring sports, and end-of-year preparations underway, it’s a busy but rewarding time.

Family support is key to student success. Please check our school calendar for important dates, including parent-teacher conferences, testing schedules, and upcoming events. Your involvement makes a difference!

As the days grow longer and the weather warms, let’s embrace the renewal and perseverance that April brings. Thank you for being part of the Norristown Area High School community!

Dedicated To More in Quarter Four

The fourth quarter of the academic year has begun, marking this a crucial time with the remaining academic days until the end of the year. This quarter is filled with important events and state testing, making it a busy period for both students and staff.

Beyond the immediate focus, this is when schools analyze their data to prepare for the summer, plan for the next academic year, and develop long-term strategies to move the school forward. This requires time, intentionality, and most importantly, committed leadership.

As we head into Quarter Four, we will pursue more – more effort, more growth, and more dedication to achieving our goals.

PFC Participates in Focus Group on School Communication Software

Last night, members of our Parent Faculty Club (PFC) participated in a focus group to discuss communication between schools and families (sponsored by Apptegy Software). The conversation highlighted how clear, timely communication builds trust and strengthens school communities—and how vital parent voices are in that process.

Parent leadership is a cornerstone of student success. As the National PTA reminds us, “When parents are engaged, students achieve more.” Our PFC’s involvement ensures that family perspectives are included in shaping how schools share information and stay connected with the communities they serve.

Strong parent-school partnerships don’t just happen—they're built through listening, collaboration, and shared purpose. According to Dr. Karen Mapp, a leading expert on family engagement, “When schools and families work together, everyone benefits—especially students.”

We’re proud of our PFC for showing up, speaking up, and supporting the kind of open dialogue that helps every child thrive. If you’re looking for ways to get involved, we’d love to connect. Your voice matters—and it helps make our school stronger.
